How to play

Keyboard: Left/Right arrows or A/D move between days, Down arrow or S soft-drops (+1 point per cell), Up arrow or W rotates, Space hard-drops, P pauses.

Touch: use the buttons below the board.

Fill an entire row across all five days to clear it — "Meeting cancelled." But watch the shaded LUNCH band: locking a block into it costs you sanity. Once meetings have reached the band, clearing a row while any day still has thirty contiguous minutes free in there defends your lunch — worth a score and sanity bonus. Run out of sanity, or stack meetings all the way up to 9:00, and your week is done.

About Calendar Crunch

Every job has that one week where the calendar stops being a planning tool and starts being an enemy. Calendar Crunch turns that feeling into a game: meetings of every shape drop from the top of your schedule, and it's up to you to slot them in before they pile up past the start of the workday. Sync-ups, pre-reads and stakeholder deep dives stack faster the longer you survive, and the only way to breathe is to clear full days at a time.

The real fight isn't the falling blocks — it's the lunch band running through the middle of the board. Every meeting that lands on it chips away at your sanity meter, and once that hits zero, so does your week. Keep a gap open around midday, clear rows through it, and you'll claw sanity back. It's a block-stacking puzzle at heart, wearing the least relaxing UI we could think of.

Frequently asked questions

Is Calendar Crunch free to play?

Yes. It runs in your browser at no cost, with no account, no download and no launcher. Open the page and start stacking.

What kind of puzzle is Calendar Crunch?

A block-stacking puzzle wearing the interface of a work calendar. Meetings of different shapes fall down a board of five days and thirty-two fifteen-minute slots between 9:00 and 17:00. Fill a whole row across all five days and it clears — the meeting is cancelled.

What are the controls?

Left and right arrows or A and D move between days, down arrow or S soft-drops for a point per cell, up arrow or W rotates, Space hard-drops and P pauses. On a touchscreen there is a row of buttons under the board. Keys are read by physical position, so a QWERTZ keyboard behaves the same as QWERTY.

What is the lunch band and the sanity meter?

The shaded band between 12:00 and 13:00 is your lunch break. Locking a meeting into it costs eight sanity out of your starting pool. Keeping thirty contiguous minutes free in there and clearing a row through it pays back twenty sanity and five hundred points. Run out of sanity, or stack meetings up past 9:00, and the week is over.

Does Calendar Crunch work on a phone?

Yes. The mobile layout fits the board and the touch controls onto a single screen without scrolling, so it plays with one thumb.

Is my best score saved?

Your best score is kept in your own browser and survives a reload. It stays on that device — there are no accounts and nothing is uploaded.
