Compare two scripts
How it works
A correct answer is worth 100 points. A hint reveals a visual clue and reduces the question to 50 points. After every guess, you see an explanation and the most likely mix-up.
Can a script always identify the language?
No. One writing system can serve several languages, and one language can use several scripts. These clues are guides, not rules without exceptions.
Why are there two difficulty levels?
The starter round uses familiar and strongly contrasting scripts. The expert round adds less familiar systems and similar shapes from the Caucasus and South Asia.
